Production

· From 1984 to 1997 there was almost no production because of the sabotage during the war of one thousand, nine hundred and eighty one (1,981) pylons on the electricity transmission lines. In this period, production was reduced to 1% of total capacity, and this power was limited to supplying the town of Songo and Tete City.

After 1997, and with the repair of the lines, it was possible to resume transmission, and restart the sale of electricity.

As from 2005, and as a result of rehabilitation work that began in 2003, there was an increased availability of power from the generator groups, and the highest production figures to date were reached.
