Values

The values of HCB, reflecting the principles on which the behaviour of all its staff, individually and collectively, should be based, internally and in its relations with all the external agents with whom the company interacts, are the following:

  • Excellence – expressing objectives and undertakings pursued with rigour, zeal and competence, the concern with quality and with results, with continual improvement and the opening to innovation and creativity;
  • Integrity – expressing the quality that reveals rectitude, honesty and moral uprightness; according to this value, life in the company should by guided by an ethical sense, loyalty, responsibility, transparency, impartiality and honesty;
  • Pride – expressing the feeling of personal dignity, honour, satisfaction and personal and collective fulfilment; this value should encourage the expression of the excellence of the company’s activity and of its contribution to the country’s development and should induce among its workers an enormous satisfaction and sense of belonging;
  • “Teaming” – expressing the spirit of union, team and mutual help; according to this value, the performance of everyone inside the company and its relations with outside bodies should prioritise team work, joint effort and the sharing of knowledge, experiences and resources;
  • Respect – expressing feelings of appreciation, consideration, and veneration; it seeks to value respect for difference and a strong feeling of responsibility for the impacts on others of the acts of each person individually and of the company collectively, thinking not only of the present, but of future generations.
