Ernesto Max Tonela

Degree in management from the Eduardo Mondlane University. He obtained a diploma in Corporate Management and Finance at the Centre of Financial, Economic and Banking Studies in Marseilles, and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Finance by the Institute of Company Administration of the University of Paris I – Pantheon - Sorbonne, in France. He worked as a junior economist in the Department of Economic and Statistical Studies in the Bank of Mozambique. Later he was financial director of the Mozambican Electricity Company, EDM, for ten years, between 1997 and 2007. Since 1999, he has been chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Motraco, S.A.R.L. In November 2007 he joined HCB, as an Executive Director.
