HCB, one of the official sponsors of national soccer

The Hydroelectric of Cahora Bassa is financially sponsoring Moçambola, the greatest Mozambican Soccer competition, in which are included two teams that are sponsored by the company, namely the Chingale Sports Club of Tete and Hydroelectric of Cahora Bassa Sports Group.

The sponsorship to Moçambola and Tete had its start in the beginning of the last season, while the support to the Hydroelectric of Cahora Bassa Sports Group, which ascended to the premier league of Mozambican Soccer in 2008, has always been present.

HCB is now building a football stadium to welcome the Moçambola matches. At the same time it is keeping, in the village of Songo, a football field, a sports complex formed by multipurpose soccer, handball and basketball fields, tennis courts, a maintenance circuit and swimming pools.

The company is also supporting motor sports through a sponsor to ATCM, which aims to improve the conditions for the competitiveness of this kind of sport in the country.
