The Hydroelectric of Cahora Bassa celebrates the mozambican women's day

The 7th of April, the Mozambican Women’s Day was celebrated in commemoration of one more anniversary of the death of Josina Machel, national hero. This is a date that is celebrated by women with great exhilaration, because it symbolizes their emancipation and the recognition of the important role, played by them on the development of their country.

Intending to join the commemorative women movement, HCB had, on the last 6th of April, in Songo and in Maputo, a gathering between the company’s collaborators and the members of the Administrative Council. These activities had the aim of providing some free time to their collaborators. In the event, flowers, postcards signed by the PAC, handkerchiefs and t-shirts were offered allusive to the date.

The main ceremonies of the 7th of April in the district of Cahora Bassa, took place in Chitima, where the company’s employees joined the women from the local community.

In the end of the event, the satisfaction of the company’s collaborators was visible, because the execution of these activities shows that the HCB’s Management worries about valuing the work the women undertake, carrying on with the institution’s objectives.
