The Hydroelectric of Cahora Bassa (HCB) received, on the past 12th of March, a visit from the King of Swaziland, Mswati III, and this one being the first visit of this Monarch to the enterprise. His arrival to Mozambique was in consequence of an invitation sent by the Mozambican Head of State, and his visit to HCB fits in the range of trips that the king intended to take to locations of socio-economic interest in Mozambique.
One of the matters raised by the Swazi Government during their visit to HCB was the possibility of the company providing more energy to this neighbor country, because Swaziland still doesn’t have alternative sources of energy generation. This request, according to the company’s CEO Dr. Paulo Muxanga, as stated to the media, would be difficult to satisfy because the company had already reached its limits of energy production, making any increase in their supply unfeasible.
King Mswati III was very impressed with the greatness and architectural magnitude of the enterprise, which is one of the symbols of our beautiful Mozambique.
