Songo has a duly signposted road network consisting of both tarred and dirt roads. During each year, roads are designed, built, maintained and upgraded by HCB itself.
It has a Ring Road, currently being widened, with a perimeter of about 12 kms, from which radiate various access routes to the northern and southern zones.
From this ring road, access may also be had, along tarred roads, to the power station and to the sub-station. From the road to the power station access may also be gained to the tourist complexes along the shores of the lake, to the fishing undertakings, to river transport, and to the Songo/Tete highway.
